What Grand National Betting Markets Are Available at Coral?
When placing your Grand National bets if you want to stick to simple markets you have two different ways in which you can bet. The first is to back a horse to win the race, and the only way you will receive any return from this bet is if you are lucky enough to pick the winner. The second way to bet is to place an each-way bet. This consists of two bets, one on your horse to win and one on your horse to place. You get a return even for just a place, and that is why this way of betting is popular with those looking to get some kind of return on the race.
If you want to bet in an alternative way there are many different options. We have seen special markets created in the past where you can bet on how lady jockeys will perform, if a grey horse will win the race and who will be the favourite. These are great ways for experienced punters to get involved in a different way, and worth a try if you want a different way to bet.
Coral Grand National Each Way Betting
If you are an experienced punter, you are certainly familiar with different bet types you can place on a horse race. The most popular one is definitely the win bet. You place it on the horse that you believe is going to win the race.
You also probably know what Coral Grand National each way betting is all about. But for those who are unfamiliar with this term, we’ll provide an easy-to-understand explanation. You will come across this bet type in the Coral Grand National betting market, so it’s worth knowing what it entails.
A Coral Grand National each way bet actually consists of two bet parts. One goes on a Grand National runner to win. The other part goes on the same horse to place. If you are unfamiliar with this term, we’ll explain it straight away. When a horse places in a race, it means that he did not finish in the first position. Instead, he came second, third, or fourth.
As you can see, by placing a Coral each way bet, you increase your bet’s chances of being winning. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the bet will 100% come through. For that to happen, you need your horse to win or place.
But if you have a strong candidate for the Grand National trophy, you can consider backing him up in each way bet. This way, if he wins, your bet wins, and you get both the win and the place part of your bet. On the other hand, if he reaches the finish line second, third, or fourth, you get only the place part.
Coral Grand National Places
Like we have already mentioned, by placing an each-way bet, you are wagering on a horse to either win or be second, third, or fourth. However, some bookmakers like to extend the place part of the bet. This means that they offer places for up to the sixth finishing position.
We wanted to see what Coral’s stance was on each-way betting at the moment. From what we could see, this brand currently offers places on the second, third, and fourth position. However, this can change in the future. We’ll make sure to update our article as soon as this happens.
Coral Grand National Runners
One of the most important parts of betting on such a high-profile event is looking into Coral Grand National horses that are going to take part in the race.
Be advised that the list of all Coral Grand National favourites and runners can change in the following weeks, and especially days before the Grand National takes place. It can also happen that a horse gets scratched on the very race.

What is Each-Way Betting in Horse Racing?
Coral offer each-way terms of 1/5 the odds a place 1-2-3-4-5-6 and that’s better than you’ll get with most of the competition. Each-way players should remember you must double your stake to place this type of bet, with half going on the horse to win, and a half on it to place 2nd to 6th. Anything ending 7th or worse will be settled as a loser.
Coral Grand National FAQ
Where can I see Coral Grand National odds?
Unfortunately, the 2021 Coral Grand National odds are not yet available for punters to look at. As soon as these odds do become available we will update this page and post them here for you to view and help you with your selections. Betting on the race can happen months in advance if you wish, although the majority of punters will stick to betting on the day when the final field for the race is fully confirmed.
Is there a Coral Grand National offer in 2021?
At the moment there is no Coral Grand National offer available but it is likely that this will change as we approach the race. As soon as we have an offer from them we will add it to this page so you can take advantage of what is on offer. In the past non-runner, no bet offers have been very popular, along with enhanced place terms and money-back offers. Expect some of these from Coral and as soon as they come out we will add them to this page.
You can check other active offers, currently available without the Coral promo code when creating a new account.
What is the Coral Grand National promo code?
Some of the other Coral offers are currently available without the need of a promo code. However, when opening a new account with your bookmaker you may be asked to enter a promo code in the future. Around the big events, new big offers will appear so it is likely that a Coral Grand National promo code might be needed. As soon as this offer is available for punters we will add it here so you can take advantage of what is on offer.
What are the Coral Grand National place terms?
The Grand National is a handicap race and because of the size of the field taking part, the terms are ¼ odds on the first four places. This is the minimum you will receive, but if you take advantage of an enhanced place offer you will get better, usually paying one additional place. The race is one that bookmakers often enhance their place terms on so look out for this.
